Custom Wine Cellars, Saunas, and Home Renovations

For Scottsdale and Surrounding Areas

Crafted Once, Never Duplicated

Wine cellars you boast proudly. Saunas you don't want to leave. Rooms that make the whole house feel like it was finally finished right. We've never built the same thing twice, and we're not about to start with yours.

THREE. DIVISIONS. EQUAL COMMITMENT

Different rooms. Same Standard

wINE cELLARS

Most wine rooms look great empty but fall apart the moment you use one. We handcraft ours to last. The racking is lit so you can read a label from the doorway, the cooling tucked away out of sight. A showpiece that ages as well as the wine.

Wood-slat sauna under construction, walls and bench built with the floor not yet finished.

sAUNAS

A sauna lives or dies on the bench and the heat. Get those wrong and nothing else matters. We design around how people actually sit and move, with wood hand-picked to take years of heat without warping. You walk in tired, the day waits outside.

Renovated bathroom with a freestanding white tub, dark gray tile, and a patterned tile floor.

cONSTRUCTION

Remodels tend to feel like afterthoughts, not because they are, but because of the gap between trades all working to a slightly different beat. We keep the whole build under one roof and one standard. The result fits how you live, like it was always there.

The Work

We don't have a portfolio of the same room in different houses. Every space here started as a blank page, because every house and every owner did too.

Indoor wood sauna with bench seating and a bucket, a desert view through a large window at sunset.
Renovated kitchen with blue cabinets, a gray marble countertop, and a tiled backsplash.

The difference between a good build and a great one comes down to details most people never see.

The difference between a space that's nice and a space that's right is the things you'd never notice unless they were wrong. We see the same misses on jobs we get called in to fix.

A cellar where the cooling unit ended up the focal point of the room, because it got dealt with last instead of first. A sauna with a bench at the wrong height, so you perch instead of settle. A kitchen that photographs well and fights you every time you actually cook in it. Most of it comes down to decisions nobody thought about early enough.

Wine labels you can read from across the room, so finding a bottle isn't a hunt.

Cooling built into the cabinetry, so a cellar feels like a room, not a refrigerator.

A sauna bench set where your body actually wants it, so you relax instead of adjusting.

Lighting oriented, so the materials do the work and the fixtures all but disappear.

Cabinet doors that shut with a soft, solid weight, every time.

Kitchen corner with marble counters, dark wood cabinets, and a built-in wood wine rack.

Most people never notice these decisions when they're done right. They simply enjoy the room more because of them.

It is with pleasure to be able to recommend David James of Exquisite Custom Construction. Selling real estate for the past 18 years I have experienced the work of many companies, some good, some not so good. I have a plethora of companies I could recommend but once one finds the right fit, why go elsewhere? I feel confident recommending knowing David will do a fabulous job.

A craftsman building a wood wine cabinet in workshop.

When David moved from Switzerland to the desert, the first thing he did was make his own home truly his own. He knows what it means to live with every decision, the way you eventually will.

He builds every project with the same mindset, truly unique to each client. Nothing gets repeated, and every choice reflects your home and how you'll live in it.

HOw We Work

01

We walk your space

We look at the actual room, the light, how you'll use it. Half the good decisions get made standing in it.

02

Designed for your home

David makes sure the design and style are what you want, and that it fits your home, before construction begins.

03

We build it

Our team and skilled craftsmen bring it to life, with every detail considered as carefully as the last.

04

We check our own work

We go through it the way you would after a month of living with it, and we fix what we find before you ever do.

Your Questions, Answered

Tell us what you're thinking about building.

We'll come look at the space, talk through what's possible, and give you an honest picture of what it takes. No pressure, no obligation, no salesperson. Just the people who'd be building listening to your vision.
