Most of what gets sold as a custom sauna in this market is a pre-built kit, ordered from a catalog and dropped into whatever room is free. It works. It also looks like everyone else's.
We started building custom saunas in Geneva in 2011. The first one was for a Finnish client, which meant trial by fire. We were getting advised on wood selection and steam behavior by someone who was practically raised inside a sauna. It set the standard for every build since.
The work has gone from Swiss apartments and ski chalets in the French Alps to the Scottsdale landscape. The construction changes with the climate. The standard doesn't.

In the ski towns where we built our first outdoor saunas, nobody just sits in the heat and calls it done. Beside the sauna there was always fresh snow, a cold plunge pool, or freezing cold temps to walk around outside. The contrast is the ritual not the heat by itself.
Scottsdale doesn't have snow or freezing temps, but the same idea holds. The best outdoor saunas become part of an evening routine. A swim. A cold plunge. A few quiet minutes under the misters. That's the experience we're designing.

Traditional Cedar Saunas
Western red cedar or hemlock, built the way saunas have been built for generations. Dry heat, real wood, no synthetic paneling standing in for the real thing.
Infrared Saunas
Runs cooler, works faster. Infrared heats the body directly instead of the air around it, so you get the benefits in less time without heating the whole room.
Outdoor & Ski-Style Saunas
We learned to build these in the French Alps, where a sauna sits outside in snow half the year. The same construction that survives a mountain winter also has to survive a Scottsdale summer sitting empty in the heat. We build for both.
Himalayan Salt Rooms
Not a sauna at all, technically. We build salt-paneled halotherapy rooms, either on their own or alongside your full experience Sauna and cold therapy. Why go to a retreat when you can build your own in the comfort of your own home.
